The Nuts and Bolts Basics of Academic Writing

ages 12-15 (gr.7-10)

Course Description:

This class is designed to support and enhance the writing of academic sentence structures. We will be using the Hochman Method, as detailed in The Writing Revolution, to move from sentence fragments, appositives and subordinating conjunctions to a beginning exploration of paragraph writing.

Time: 4pm-5pm ET

Semester 1 Dates: September 13, 2021 – January 24, 2022 (16 weeks – No classes: Oct 11, Nov 22, Dec 27 and Jan 3)

Required Homework:

Approximately 1 hour of writing practice per week.

No materials necessary to purchase.
