ages 8-11 (gr.3-6) Advanced Readers Full Year - 32 week Course
Course Description:
Join us in exploring literary devices while discussing literature. Each week, we will learn about a new literary device, seek examples from the text, and do activities and games that allow us to apply the new literary device. Additionally, each week a different student will be assigned to bring a discussion question that will guide a short discussion about our ongoing reading. They will be able to choose from a provided bank of discussion questions, Google discussion questions created for the book, or create their own question. On the last week of each literature unit, we will have a teacher-led in-depth book discussion along with a game reviewing the literary devices covered to that point.
